We're metric here in Canada...but when it comes to tools and measurements, I revert to the imperial system. Same with weight measurement....kilograms doesn't mean much to me whereas I can estimate wiehgt easily in pounds.

Temperature!! Only talk in terms of celsius when it comes to the weather.

Don't forget distance and other measurements of lengths that don't involve tools . Also, we look at things in litres and millilitres, though not always (Drinks can be measured in Fluid Ounces along with the mL).

I think that in about 100 odd years everyone will be metric about everything here in Canada. We only underwent metrication in the 1980's, even then it pretty much stopped going further, so we're in a limbo now. The US sticking to their system only further complicates things due to Free Trade. Trades use US measurements and Imperial Units are still allowed.

Crazy old Canada.
