Hot peppers for tongue healing?

I had a case of tounge bite, and my sense of taste is still gone. I found this thing posted below, anyone try hot peppers to heal tounge bite?

News to me. I don't think I have ever had tongue bite that bad.

In my experience I have found capsaicin to be amazing substance. The treatments and subsequent recipes in the article sound like they would be worth trying, an adventure if you will.

I have had success treating my mouth and throat with Natural Herb Loquat Flavored Syrup (Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa).

It contains: Elm bark, sucrose syrup, honey, Loquat leaf, Fritillary, Balloon flower (Platycodi) Snakegourd seed, Sand Root, Senega root, Tuckahoe (Poria), Licorice, Ginger, Five Flavored Seed (Schisandra), Peppermint.

I am able to buy it locally.

Elswhere on this forum, in the cigar part of it, I read that dark chocolate is a way to rejuvinate the taste buds between smokes.

I specifically eat hot peppers to get tongue bite. I smoke a pipe so as not to get tongue bite. There is some kind of weird irony in eating peppers to cure your tongue from smoking a pipe. I can't quite nail it down. It's like trying to hold smoke. The sound of one hand clapping. Flavored cigars. This is way to esoteric for me.

I find yerba mate works well for that purpose as well. Heals up the cheeks too you know when the insides of your cheeks start peeling from smoking so much?

I have been very lucky, I reckon. I have never had tounge bite. But since I said it out loud I am sure I will experience it soon.

i tried a product from colgate for mouth sores peroxyl its mouth wash with hydrogen peroxide. works great in a day or two.

The way extremely hot peppers can really burn around your eyes and some even hot enough to burn the skin from touching them, I just can't imagine them being of much use to help a burnt tongue.

Seriously how is anyone getting tongue bite bad enough to see out remedies? The very moment I feel it I immediately stop smoking and wait for a good 30 minutes. During that time I run a pipe cleaner. I think the worst I have ever had it, it might have lasted a couple of hours.

I use that stuff once a week anyway as a preventive measure.

There is another that is essentially the same stuff called "Prevention". I forget who makes it.
