Curious

I saw the thread on pipes and it peeked my curiosity. Is threre anyone out there who smokes both pipes and cigars, and if so, is there a major difference? Which do you prefer?

I have been smoking cigars for years, but have never tried a pipe.

Re: Curious

I think you will find many here that smoke both. I do personally. I am running alot and like the pipe for a quick smoke or a more relaxed circumstance. I am also a newb here and you can learn alot fromthe other replys.

Re: Curious

KR is probably correct. I tried pipes on several occasions over the years and could never develope a taste for it. Then a few months ago I decided to give it one more go and now I really enjoy a pipe. Personally I enjoy both equally, but there a times when one is definitley better than the other. One of the real advantages to a pipe is it is easier to hold in my mouth leaving my hands free for other activities...

Re: Curious

I smoke both. I like both, for different reasons. A pipe fits the bill better for me at work or running errands around town, since you can pack only 10 minutes of tobacco in your pipe. I find myself smoking my pipe a little more often during the winter as well, maybe just to keep my hands warm on the bowl...

More often than not though, I reach for the cigars.

Definately try pipes and some different kinds of pipe tobacco. You'll probably like it
