Another Slope Ahead...

Hey all...I thought I would post a pic of what Mrs Clause brought me for Christmas. I had mentioned to her that I would like to try a pipe and she came through at xmas. She even got my sister -in-law in the game. My lovely wife got me the Camoy's of London Christmas 1998 edition, Sister-in-Law got me the Bent Black Jantet Maya and I bought my self the Erik Nording. I have been enjoying breaking in these pipes and already know I need to find a stronger tobacco since most of the aromatics seem to be on the mild side. I did try a tobacco with Latikia I think it is called and really liked it.

Well I can see now there is a whole new slope for me to slide down

well, there's all kinds of info out there.... and on this forum.

those tobacco's with latakia can pack some flavor...

check some of our "links" as there's a pipe tobacco review website that's very similar to top25cigar.

nice pipes you got - too bad you missed out on the secret pipe santa...

Thanks Greg...I will deffinately be doing my homework now. Are there any other full flavored blends you would suggest (your favs)?.

i'm big on the "orientals" right now, for some reason. happened by accident. i bought some mcclellands oriental #14 at the local shop and loved it. now i've ordered more stronger tobaccos that are classified as "oriental or scottish" and am loving those.
then my secret pipe santa hit me with 3 of the 4 tobaccos being of the "oriental" variety and recently had some Ashtons Celebrated Soveriegn that was kick ass.
matter of fact, i had a bowl of the McClellands oriental #14 tonight.... i'm almost out...

when i was a newbie to pipes, i was strictly an aromatic smoker. they're alright, but after smoking cigars, i need that ooomph and spice.
