substitute for 965

Has any one found a substitute for Dunhill 965. I bought the last tin in Lexington last week. And it seems harder to find it online. I know it can still be had, just wandering if their is another out there with the same flavor profile. Thanks in advance..
Brian..

C&D's (lookalike) #965 Tuggle Hall. I think it's better. It's more like the old 965 before they fiddled with it about 5/6 years ago.

Why do you need a substitute when you're still going to be able to buy the real thing?

Re: substitute for 965

I found a house blend at my local B&M that is, imo, every bit as good, and perhaps better. Its sweeter then 965 and not as sour tasting at times. I also got one tin of 965 left that I bought for a discount. (It was opened all ready for people to sample, but no one ever tried it. lol ) Its aging now so we(my bro and I) have it for the holidays.

Re: substitute for 965

Just as a suggestion - we as well (pipesandcigars) are out of dunhill 965 and we do have the altadis match, but we also have a blend called SunJammer that is part of our house line Hearth and Home. It's not necessarily a match, but is considered a companion or suggestive of the 965 blend. I've attached the description....for your consideration!

Hearth & Home SunJammer:
[SIZE=2]A smooth and sweet blend of Bright and Red Virginias, Macedonian and other Oreintals, smoky Latakia and a touch of unflavored toasted black cavendish. A traditional Scottish-type mixture, agreat alternative for the Dunhill 965 smoker who is looking for the same kind of medium bodied, slightly sweet Latakia blend but would like something a bit different.

Re: substitute for 965

SunJammer has to be better than the Altadis match. It's horrible, imo. As is most of Altadis match blends.

I still think c&d's Tuggle Hall is the best you will find.

I can't say I've ever tried SunJammer so I can't comment on it. However, I have tried several other blends from H&H and they do some great, great work.
