When is Pipe Season?

Totally dig cigars in the summer. No pipe.
Is there a time of year you smoke your pipe, or do you hit it all year long?

All year for me. Probably less in the winter.

I;ve been smoking more pipe then cigars. Still love having a nice stogie in the mid day,But morning and evening is pipe time. Then some days it's only pipe.

It's all in the mood i'm in. Every day is a good day for a pipe.

I smoke more cigars in the summer because I am outdoors more. So probably 95% cigars to 5% pipes. In the cooler months when I am inside more just reverse it. I can smoke cigars in my den but it is much more hassle. I can smoke my pipe anywhere in the house except for english blends which go back to the den but I don't have to take nearly the same number of precautions.

I just tend to smoke the pipe more in the winter.On my way to work and so forth.Its always to damn cold outside for a cigar from december till about may or so.It just seems somehow to "fit" better in the fall and winter months.

My pipe smoking is daily year round. Although i'm a little pickier when i smoke an English blend during the spring/summer months. (usually from evening to late night) In the winter i may go weeks without a cigar. During the spring/summer months i smoke at least 1 or 2 cigars a week.

I smoke apipe year round but I definitely smoke more in the winter and during rainy weeks or days I smoke way too much, or just enough. Smoking season really starts in october and goes to about april for me. In the summer I have to wait for it to cool off at night.

Pipe every day...number of bowls varies.

As the sole supporter of a family of four I can't afford to smoke cigars very often, I can smoke great quality pipe tobacco for probably less than 50 cents a bowl...

A good cigar is a splurge for me....once or twice a year.

I smoke my pipe year-round. However winter is my favorite pipe-smoking season.

My first experience with a pipe (vicariously, not actually smoking it) was as a child - we would return to Tennessee and stay with my grandparents during the Christmas holidays. My grandfather always smoked a pipe in the winter with an aromatic cherry tobacco and that smell, to this very day, will remind me of him and Christmas.

Good memories kept alive by a fine hobby.
