Re: Cobs

Two cob questions:

1) Is there an online retailer who'll cut you a deal on ordering cobs in bulk? (GOOD cobs, like Missouri Meerschaum)

2) What's the difference in performance with the "natural" uncoated cobs? Do they not last as long? Taste better?

Again, you may want to go to the following web page:

http://www.frenchyspipes.com/index.php?crn=206

He carries a nice selection of cobbs and very reasonable prices, and I would assume if you call his telephone number to speak with him about a bulk deal, he would probably be more than happy to throw a figure your way

Good point! I love me my cobs. Don't have one at the moment cuz I broke the dang stem off by tapping it to dump the ash (stupid move on my part lol) but have two coming my way.

Re: Cobs

I own a cob and a straw hat. Well the straw hat is caribbean style but still...

My cob is not in my rotation. I don't like smoking it that much. However I consider it to be an important piece of equipment like a tamper or reamer. And it is true you can take a cob places where you might be afraid to take a more expensive pipe.

Re: Cobs

I just ordered a new cob from frenchy as my current one has seen better days. Because that evil man has a 10 buck limit I decided to get 2 additional real pipes. I have never owned a big ben. Be nice to try something different.

Real "classy" response there. Have you ever smoked a cob?
