Cob Questions

1) Do you need to stick with a "family" of tobaccos with each cob - like you would with briar? Or can you jump between say Englishes, Vapers, and aromatics with abandon?

2) What do you do to the bowl post smoke? Wipe it out so it won't build cake? Can it even build cake?

Thanks.

Re: Cob Questions

1) I believe with cobs you don;t have to stick with one type of baccy. the cob doesn;t hang on to the flavor like briars etc.

2) I just give a quick wipe with a cleaner.

I agree and that's exactly what I do.

Cobs don't get ghosted so they're great for sampling new blends. Cobs also don't need a cake, so just swab the (cool) bowl out to remove the burnt dribbles.

Re: Cob Questions

Thanks everyone. I've got three nice briars, but I'm really looking forward to smoking my new cobs.
