MacBarren's Navy Flake

Is MacBarren's NF not being imported anymore? Or they going to stop making it?

I just bought a 100G tin for $18, which I swore I bought only a year before from the same place for $12. Now, the guy was nice and gave me a 2 dollar discount on it, given it would have been $20 bucks without it. Now he has not had NF down there for about a year, so I was very excited to buy it, even at that price when I thought something was odd.

Maybe his suppliers have gone up in price? Anyone else see this price increase?

I check 4noggins.com for their price. 100g tin, $11 bucks.

I don't mind supporting the local B&M, in fact, I almost prefer it. But That price kinda hurt. One tin for the price of two almost. None of his other tobaccos are expensive and normal price. Just had to ask if there was something up with the NF.

Re: MacBarren's Navy Flake

I bought a 100g tin of Navy Blend last month for about $11, same stuff I believe except its ribbon cut rather than flake. The same tin would have been about $16 - $18 at the B&M. That is the list price but online sellers discount that due to sales volume.

Interesting. So he must have been screwing himself last year then, because I looked at my tin of Dark Twist and it was 12 bucks then too. I was just shocked that it cost so much, when all the other tobaccos are around a good price, like 10-11 dollars. Except for his Orlik GS, only tin he has that is significantly more expensive then the online counterpart.

Thanks for the heads up.

lol, realized I misspelled MacBaren

Norwegians have all the tall chicks and very nice fjords, too. Place'd be damn near perfect except for the wind and the price of toabcco.
