will a little heat damage my pipes?

sorry if this has been asked before but my Internet right now is limited to my phone. Had to move to a new place for school for a month and the only place I've got to set my pipes is over the heater vent. It isn't getting too hot and I'll have them placed on a wooden rack. I plan on keeping the temp at 70 at most. Would this bit of warmth cause my pipes any harm?

Ps. I may not be able to respond quickly but will check back in every so often tonite. Thx!

Seems to me that since we light fires in them,
a little heat won't do too much harm.

Your pipes will be fine. Not to worry.

Fresh wood generally dont like to have sudden climate changes. That includes extra fast drying, resulting in cracks. But since u allready have dry wood in the pipe I see no problem!

Infact I have my pipes next too an open fire! (and have no problems)

What they said
Humidity is a concern. If the heater vent is dry...This could dry out and crack your pipes.
Be aware of the dryness..

Have you experienced this, TOB - a fracture related to drying out?

That's what I figured, but was worried about the briar/stems warping or cracking as TOB mentioned below. I'll update if I find anything, but I doubt I will. Thanks again for the posts guys!!!
