Low Country Tobacco

Has anyone had any experience with this tobacco. It is only available at two places and C&D do the blending. I was reading PT magazine and saw an article. All the tobaccos get great reviews and I was thinking that Waccamaw sounds very good.

Only one I haven't tried is Cooper, which is an oversight in judgement that I shall correct shortly. Waccamaw was very good, had that spice to it that perique brings. Santee was ok, just not my thing at the time. They will probably only get better with age on them if you have the inclination and patience to do so.

Re: Low Country Tobacco

Found a year old opened tin of Cooper today in my pipe drawer. The tobacco wasn't dried out and was ready to smoke.

Wow, this is one awesome blend. Sweet, smokey, and spicy. The latakia is a tad in the background compared to the other tobaccos in this blend, but it's blended marvelously. Time to buy a few tins for the cellar!

Lowcountry is only about 15 miles from me. These folks are very knowledgable about pipes and pipe tobacoos. They also have a pretty nice humidor.

I would have never guessed. I mean it's not like they carry lots of Tats and DPG.

I actually asked Craig Tarlor at C&D, who makes the blend for Low Country, about this and he stated that at the moment they weren't considering it to be available as a bulk blend, but that we should communicate our request to the folks at Low Country (smokingpipes) and maybe it would happen one day.
