Roll Cake - Spun Cut - packing

I just opened a tin of the MacBaren's Roll Cake Deluxe which is a "Spun Cut" tobacco and I have a question for anyone that is familiar with this tobacco.

The tobacco looks like little slices of pepperoni that are light on the outside - the virginia leaf - and centers -which I assume is the cavendish and latika - there is some burley too.

Anyway - my question is how do you pack this tobacco in your pipe. Do you palm rub, gently break apart - or do the fold and pack method that was in article that ScottM linked when talking about flake?

I fold and pack. But I'm a pipe idiot so pay no mind.

I really enjoy this tobacco. Personally, I rub it out, just like I do 'most' flake. Not too much, but just to expose more surface area. No problems keeping a light this way.
