Some company (perhaps Petersen) used to make a line of tobaccos called Caledonian but not the same as the current tin. There used to be four different blends - I recall 3... the Green was a latakia blend, the red was an aromatic and the blue (Navy) was a spun virginia/perique blend. Does anyone recall these? Are they still available? Thanks in advance!

I do recall a line, similar to what you explained, and I am pretty sure that it was produced under the Peterson name. However, if I recall correctly, it was not available in the USA. I believe it was only available in Europe!

I have no experience with any of these but best I can see they were brought back into production for a while by A&C Peterson. I do not think they are any longer produced.

HERE are some reviews of these blends

I used to get it in the U.S, at least until the mid-90's when I stopped smoking the pipe. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some of the Navy tin. It was quite good.
