lotus 2 flame lighter

Hey all,

Just got my latest shipment from smokingpipes.com. I ordered a 8 oz can of Haddos Delight, a 8 oz can of Cairo, a tin of Bracken flake and a lotus 2 flame lighter.

I just filled the lighter with butane and I like it so far but I have a question if anyone out there has one of these. this lighter has a torch flame (for cigars) as well as a side fireing regular flame (for pipes). I notice however that when I fire up the torch and let go of the button I can still hear the butane leaking out...it stops when I fire the side flame but I'm not sure if I should send the lighter back for a new one or repair if needed.

Anyone have any ideas?

over filled?

try to let some butane out and if that doesn't do it send it in.

I have a Lotus 12 torch for cigars and it doesn't do that.

I've overfilled butane lighters before and had them leak. They will (if they aren't defective) quit leaking when the internal pressure drops to the correct level.

You may want to watch the Frank method videos on youtube by frank himself as he has some pointers on using a torch lighter for a pipe.

yea. you don't use an jet flame on a pipe, you might want to turn it down.
