Calling all Savenelli natural owners.

Do you put anything on your briar or just leave it. Mine isn't getting a lot of use, but it somehow manages to get held in my hand a lot and it's taking on a nice reddish color. Should I put anything on it to protect it? What do you do with yours?

I've smoked the hell out of mine, no finishing, no hand washing, just like its already been said... fill it and smoke it!

It's unreal how much of a color change you'll get out of it.

This is what I do; has a nice nutty brown patina after only about a half doz. bowls.

Funny that you ask. I just got a 1lbs hunk of beeswax, and I'm planning on using a bit to gloss up my darkened natty sav. One pound is a lot of beeswax by the way.

Thats the way I have always done it, and the pipes all take on their own look.

I just got one on Thursday and have smoked 2 bowls through it. However, before I even smoked it I did the old rub by the side of your nose trick and the thing is REALLY dark now.

I haven't put anything on it to protect it either.
