The OTC Buyers Guide

This is just for fun...not intended to make fun of anyone's favorite OTC blend. I had this thread going on another forum and we had a lot of fun with it.

Pirate's OTC buyer's guide:
1. Never buy a tobacco with a fruit in it's name.
2. Avoid tobaccos that have a picture of a ship on the package.
3 Be leary of tobaccos that include numbers...it may well indicate the previous number of attempts and failures to make the blend.
4. Smoke nothing named after famous dead people.
5. In general, the prettier the art work on the package, the more foul the blend inside.
6. Any tobacco described as 'mild' will most assuredly not be.
Ok that is my list. Add to it as you see fit.
Ken

Re: The OTC Buyers Guide

Dust on a tin of virginia is a good sign. Dust on a package of burley just means you're getting old tobacco.

Re: The OTC Buyers Guide

What about great smells. The majority of great smelling OTC brands taste like wet turds. If it smells like old prunes or raisins though then it's usually good.

Any pouch or tub you find at Walgreens that was produced before UPC codes were printed on the container can go directly to ebay with a $35.00 reserve.

List under "collectibles".
