Boswell VC vs. Mac Baren VC

I ordered an ounce of the Boswell Vanilla Cream tobacco a little while back and I really enjoyed it. Recently I was browsing around on tobaccoreviews and on various other sites and I've been hearing good things about the Vanilla Cream tobacco from MacBaren. Does anybody have any preferences between the two types? Another question that I have is whether or not the tin of Vanilla Cream from MacBaren will be significantly better than the bulk? only ever had macbarens, flake form, and I enjoy it. But I've always heard really good things about Boswell's stuff.

I smoked a tin of the MB VC, it was ok, I'd like to recomend the Dan, Sweet Vanilla Honeydew, its 10 times better

Smoked better, tasted better.

I really enjoy MacB's VC, needs to be dried out though. Drying it improved the experience tremendously for me. I've tried Boswell's Christmas Cookie, it was ok, seemed to lack flavor, in my opinion. Haven't tried their VC though.

I wasn't impressed with my first bowl of MB, but each bowl has improved vastly. I purchased it in pouch form from my B&M a couple of months ago.

Oh, recently I realized I prefer the Balsa filter in my Savanelli's. They do make a world of difference. Might explain why I didn't enjoy the first bowl. I had the adapter in and not a filter. There was a bit of bite that first bowl.

Interesting question....I've never had the Bosy version, but the MacB version comes in both Mixture and Flake and is so well regarded amongst all types of pipe smokers it's probably a safer bet. For me the other worldwide popular classic MacBlend, bite or no-bite is - Navy Flake...treat yourself to a tin....it's not perfect but dam it's good...Dub in the dam.
