Tsuge Shiki???

I've been looking for a new pipe to replace the Joh's pipe that I've come to hate.

Found one that I like a lot, but I have no idea how well it is made, and can't find much information on it.

It's a Tsuge shiki fuyu. Looks like a great pipe, but I haven't seen any reviews on the shiki line. I know the Ikebana line is a great line of pipes, but I just have no idea about the shikis.

Anyone have any input? I'd rather not drop around $200 to find out it's not a decent pipe for the money.

I was just in the same boat as you before I bought another one...they look neat, and if you look at Iwan Ries, they have a Fuyu/o cheaper (well, the dependant finish) than @CupOJoes. Looks great IMHO, but I wanted something different (already have an Arashi).

Great pipes IMHO, love the Ikebana line, but I side with the folks who hate the taste of the bowl coating.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the boal coatings. But it goes away once you build up a decent cake.

Thanks for the heads up on the Iwan Ries
