New Members...Lot's to do in the Pipe Forums

Back in 2006, when I first found and joined Club Stogie, I was excited to discovered all the things that were going on that gave me a chance to participate. The Newbie Sampler Trade, the PIFs, the Lottery, the MAW/PIF...I participated in them all. Not only did I get a chance to sample some new and great cigars, but I also got to meet some of the members and this eventually led to my participation in herfs. Now I have many people here that I call my friend. These first encounters also got me more involved in the personal side of the forum...converversations with people I actually knew in person. These initial activities made me feel more a part of the whole forum experience.

Years later, I found the Pipe Forums and discovered similar things happening here. Lots of "stuff" for piper smokers to do. Again, a great way to get more involved in the forum experience.

Here's a list of some of the things going on in the Pipe Forums. If you haven't taken the opportunity to participate, why not give it a shot. Like me, it may turn out to be rewarding and alot of fun!

Newbie Sampler Trade for Pipes

Pipe Tobacco Lottery

Pipe Tobacco MAW/PIF

Baylock, I know I'm new here, but if I could I would like to know your opinion on maybe opening up a second time pipe newbie trade like the cigar forums have? It seems the EPS are willing, and for me as a newbie it really branched me out quite a bit. Just an idea; I'm not trying to be rude.

Re: New Members...Lot's to do in the Pipe Forums

If no one else, Blaylock knows what's going on here! I came here for the cigars, but found the pipe section--I hardly visit the cigar section at all anymore. I became involved in the NST a couple times, finally the pipe lottery. There is a mountain of information here, answers to about any question you could have. If you can't find the answer, feel free to ask any of us! I learned everything I know so far about pipe smoking from this forum, and I'm still finding new information out daily! Come, Join, Sit down and Enjoy!

Re: New Members...Lot's to do in the Pipe Forums

participation is defiantely the key to getting the full enjoyment that's available. i've met some great guys, been able to try some HTF tobacs, found some great deals & had a blast doing it all because of contributing what little i know. i've asked a lotta ?'s & even tried to answer a few here & there. i'm just glad we have a section to call our own that isn't based on "nice pipe" comments.
