OOOOOO... the PIPE ....smoke the PIPE FIRST.... Oh... sorry. Got too excited there for a bit. First smoke... I'd lean toward the Irish Oak. Just me, though. You're the captain... it's your ship. Nice hit!!

Re: Nooner shoves another one
The Irish it was...
Was chatting With Paul, Stacy, Greg, Mike and some others last night and fired up my first bowl. Did way to light a pack job at first... figured that out and corrected. Took me a while to figure out the puff puff tamp method but I did get it done and had a pretty steady fire going. That Irish ROCKS in the flavor dept... very good and almost an essence of ISOM in there. Not very strong but VERY smooth... no bite at all. I was surprised that the nicotine was so much lower than a cigar of the same smoke duration... that was cool... I was able to smoke a second bowl without being whacked! Can't wait to try the Dunhill... need to figure out if that is OK in the same pipe. I bought a few pipes on ebay that should arrive pretty soon... Speaking of pipes... this Nording Pat sent is just the bomb... very good looking, in brand new condition and it has a deep bowl for nice long smokes Thanks again Pat... this is getting the shove from the first class seats! |

Also that Nording better be in New Condition!!! It was new!!! I liked it for the compact shape which hangs well in the mouth if you need free hands, the fact it is pretty light, and the bowl which is just about the right size. In my mind it is a near perfect pipe for multitasking - and I know you are a multitasker! I am glad you enjoyed and I am sure you'll dig the Elizabethan Mixture, it is kinda like a Cab to Irish Oak's Pinot... I think they are both fine in the same pipe - I just clean(and by clean, I mean scrub) the bowl well(walls of the bowl and everything) in between each smoke with a pipe cleaner. Enjoy!!!

Re: Nooner shoves another one
You sent me a NEW PIPE??? You crazy man... I just assumed that with "estate" pipes being so popular that I would be getting one. I must say I was wondering how a "used" pipe could look so perfect... not a single scratch... would have never thought you would send me a new one... should have send me an old bomber! (not that I am complaining!)
Had my third bowl tonight... just digging it. Gotta break out the Dunhill tomorrow... looking forward to stronger already! THANKS AGAIN PAT! PS....hows the move going? |
