Bookstore giftcard burning a hole in my pocket!
So I have like $150 worth of GC's to a bookstore. What books do people recommend a noob getting to enhance his appreciation for pipe smoking. I definitley want to restore some estate pipes as well.

I'm not all sure what pipe books there are, but if there's a pipe smoking for idiots/dummies book, that'd probably be a good place to start. If you're into cigars, the cigar cyclopedia is a must have.

I read a cool old book called "Sublime Tobacco" - it was about a guy's life experiences smoking and I think it started out in the 1850s or so... perhaps older, it's been a while since I've read it. Fascinating story though... the guy smoked A LOT of tobacco.

Nice! Pipes & reading go great together. I know this isn't exacly what you meant, but I'd recommend buying novels or nonfiction to read while you smoke!

I agree. I am currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo, which is perhaps the greatet thing I have ever read. Puts the movie to shame!

I loved that book.

Currently working my way throught the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Also shown on HBO as True Blood. Any fans?

its not a book but you might want to grab the latest issues of smokle and cigar afficianado. Plus theres bound to be more that a few 'coffie table' books out there.

You cant go wrong w/ any of Alexandre Dumas' books. I have fond memories of those novels.

The greatest book I've ever read is 'Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. I'd heard of it for years but never read it until 2 yrs ago when it came highly recommened. It's a true masterpiece and very much applicable to what's happening in our world today, politics, liberal vs conservative idiologies, etc. It's a book you can't put down once you start it. Written in 1957 but one I'll read again soon.
