Carey pipes
What do you guys think of E.A. Carey pipes? They have a unique air / filter system that makes them nice smokers for the harsher blends. But the bit feels like cheap plastic in my mouth.

I bought an estate Carey pipe a little while back. The stem was cracked and chewed up. The bowl was a good size (c), and was in great shape. Carey pipes are so reasonably priced I almost pitched it.
I sent it off to... http://store.yahoo.com/careysmokeshop/piperepair.html The replacement stem is dull with no shine and probably is a cheaper one than the original. That being said, I'm so happy to have saved the pipe. It smokes like a dream and I have a hard time passing it when I'm smoking VA's. |
