Benjamin Hartwell Evening Stroll

About 5 years ago, I thought I'd give pipe smoking a try. I went to the drug store and bought a pipe and some kind of tobacco. I think maybe it was Black & Gold, but I'm not really sure. I also ordered a couple of cans of the Evening Stroll because I'd heard it had a great room note and might not be unpleasant for my wife.

Well, before the tobacco even arrived in the mail, she got one whiff of the B&G and announced that I'd NOT be smoking in the house. Well, it was winter and we lived in Anchorage, Alaska at the time. Needless to say, the pipe and everything went into the back of a closet, followed by the cans of Evening Stroll when they arrived.

After we moved to Charleston last year, I found the two cans of Evening Stroll. I recently bought a couple of nice Peterson pipes from Robbie (thanks, bud!) that should be arriving this week sometime. I can't smoke anything until after my surgery, but I was wondering about these two cans of tobacco. They have "2003" stamped on the bottom, and they're unopened.

Should this tobacco be okay? And Robbie, do you think I'd even like it?

OX, the tobacco will be just fine....thats the purpose of cellering tins, to get some age on them. Here is a link that may help you understand what others think of that baccy you have. Reviews are subjective, and only you can decide if you like it.
