I have my eye on a Carey's Magic Inch pipe on Ebay. This will be my first venture into the Pipe realm. I have been talking about it for awhile, but just now got the itch to pull the trigger. The pipe is going for about $5 right now, so it seems like a pretty good price.

Any input on these pipes? Do you have to use the filter in the pipe, or can you smoke without it?

It will be a good starter pipe for sure. You don't need to use the filter, but it could help.

Looks good. Might need a bit of clean up on the stem and around the rim but it's a nice pipe!
