You're absolutely correct, I should have put that in there. When I clean after the smoke, I do not seperate the stem from the bowl. Only when both are cool would I do that.

Thank you DBCcigar

Re: outdoor to indoor pipe smell

In my experience pipes definitely smell less then Cigars and Cigarettes. The smell does linger with the pipe for a while but eventually goes away after a few hours. All men should have a man-room where they can do whatever they want in. The wives have the rest of the house to do with as they please

Wife loves the aroma of some aromatics and doesn't mind me smoking them in the house. She orders me to burn a bowl when the cat lays a grease job in his box. She hates Latakia blends such as UHLE's blend 232. Smoke that in the garage and pipe stays in garage.

Re: outdoor to indoor pipe smell

I find the smell of a pipe sitting on a shelf is very minimal, and I have forty sitting on a shelf. I usually leave it outside unless the bowl is finished, keep em clean, the odd alcohol clean and they won't stink out your home.
