Re: Best Bulk Virginia?
I've never been a big Marlin Flake fan for some reason. Old Gowrie either. I prefer the Samuel Gawith Virginias for some reason.

![]() I can certainly see a preference for the SG's. I like a lot of their stuff, too particularly the FVF. Another fave that's nothing like those two Rattray's is Squadron Leader. |

Re: Best Bulk Virginia?
Let's hope. I'm a big believer in the concept of vacuum sealing but one tin of Escudo did not make the trip from '94/'95 when I stopped smoking to raise my kiddies. But several tins were perfectly fine... a lot of Rattrays, McClellands, Ashtons, etc were improved by the long dormant period.

Re: Best Bulk Virginia?
I've come to find I am mainly a fan of SG as well...but always looking to feed the TAD. (MF and AJ's Vaper from H&H sound quite similar. I've had AJ's and loved it, plus it's about 1/2 the price of MF - so maybe I'll just stick with that as the alternative to St. James Flake right now (esp. since Scottish Cake is nowhere to be found).

Re: Best Bulk Virginia?
In my opinion, the best bulk Virginian is Iwan Ries IRC Virginia Flake. Seven ounces for 16 bucks. It tastes great.

Re: Best Bulk Virginia?
Yep, Best Brown Flake. I'm thinking about placing an order myself in the near future. Peacehaven and VA #1 are definitely VAs on my to buy list.
Oh and for the record Tillbury has burley and I think a dash of perique in it as well. My bad.....

Re: Best Bulk Virginia?
I've been smoking PS LNF, LTF, and LBE mainly lately and I like them all quite a bit. They're really cheap too, especially LNF, it's something like $30 for a 24oz box. I like it, it's a clean, bright no frills vaper. Anni cake doesn't quite do the trick for me.
