I've purchased several from Marty over the last couple of months and found some great deals i.e $110 for an Upshall P grade, $155 for a Castello Collection, a nifty old GBD Flame Grain poker/sitter for $55, an il Ceppo smooth straight grain for $110. Of course, if you have a wallet that's as fat as Orson Wells' nightgown, you could also drop 4 figures on a Baldo Baldi or Larsen Pearl. But Marty's pipes are reasonably priced up and down the various lines. And talk to him for awhile if he's not too busy! This guy has been around for a long time (I first met him at an Indy pipe show around 1992 and he was a longtimer then!) and knows his pipes, plus he's got a lot of hilarious anecdotes. Highly recommended!

I absolutely concur! I have traded a few pipes with Marty, he gave me fair prices on some pipes. I also have bought a l'Anatra and a Castello from him that I felt I got good deals on. Very nice guy also!

I'm going to look him up at the Chicago show in May. Which gives me an idea for a new thread....
