Hey Mayor, luckily for me the wife works there, so I enjoy a nice discount on my black coffee. (ends up being about 0.70 per 20 oz.)

Re: The Thread: Porch, Rooftop and Balcony Smoking

when the weather is nice, it's always the back porch. if i had a covered front porch, i'd probably have a nice rocking chair to sit in and yell at kids to get off my lawn.
i don't have a good photo of my view, only photos of what i'm smokin at the time.

Re: The Thread: Porch, Rooftop and Balcony Smoking

I'm stuck to smoking in my backyard (i live at home. only 18 years old), but I also enjoy taking an early morning hike to the top of the hill behind my house and smoke a pipe as the sun rises. I don't mind smoking outside as the weather is usually nice here in Southern California, but I'd like to see what it's like smoking inside.

Re: The Thread: Porch, Rooftop and Balcony Smoking

last time i sat on the roof & smoked the neighbors got uppity & called the police. i live in a trailer so they probably weren't used to seeing someone on the roof. i don't know what the deal was, if they thought i was gonna jump/smoking pot/being the resident sniper but there the cops were. after i explained what i was doing they left, but it's still more hassle than it's worth. i tried the front porch but the skeeters are murder. i spent winter smoking in my shed, probably do the same this summer.

Geez after reading this I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to smoke in my Lazy Boy recliner right in front of the TV... Or sitting at my computer here talking to you fellas, etc. I smoke in the house all the time as my wife does not mind in the least.

Covered front porch(facing west) for the mornings and fenced in back yard in the evenings.
The 'skeeters love my carbon monoxide output as well. A little off topic, anyone ever use one of those Mosquito Magnets? If so, do they work?
Might have pics later depending if my 16 year old sweeps the porch like he is supposed to.

Re: The Thread: Porch, Rooftop and Balcony Smoking

I try and stay off the roof when smoking, the pitch is a little too steep...

This winter I spent a little time fixing up the Garage, added a Big screen TV, Heater, nice Rug couple chairs and a table. I made it pretty comfy so now that the weather is getting nicer I just open the garage door, I get to enjoy the weather and the creature comforts built into the mancave..

I do have a nice view from my deck... so if I have company, I'll often smoke there, but when alone I'll take the mancave, and ESPN.

No doubt about it spring and fall are great times to get outside and light up.

Re: The Thread: Porch, Rooftop and Balcony Smoking

My front porch faces south on a quiet side street and today sure turned out to be a great day. I have the day off and was finally able to take my pipe outside, soak up some sun, enjoy the quiet and watch the birds and squirrels.
I even think one of the squirrels was eyeballing the acorn shape pipe I was smokin

One must leave the door open for apartment dwellers amongst us. My daughter and her (6th) floormates were once Georgetown cocktail and suntan roofies. Roofs happen - very cool urban option when available. Sorry to see nobody has claimed the rooftop yet.

(Also, I just watched Mary Poppins the other night. Chim chim chiroo.)

Re: The Thread: Porch, Rooftop and Balcony Smoking

Nothing but open space in my neighborhood here in New Olreans. 4 homes have been rebuilt on my street. Some would see that as a negative, I however see it as a positive for the moment. No Traffic, plenty of privacy just like I'm in the Country and yet i am close to everything such as malls, schools and the French quarter (Just 4 miles away). Any how i have my choice of smoking on the back deck where the noisy purple Martins reside in their white bird houses or in the front of the house on the covered 1st or 2nd floor balconies over looking a nice neighborhood park which at the moment has been recently mowed. No rooftop smoking however. My Furniture is very comfortable. On the front is 2 rocking chairs and on the back Deck Teak wood chairs and table.

Like my trashy pvc hanger my little bro made for me?

I'm sittin out on the back porch now smokin some C&D Epiphany in my new Savinelli Alligator pot, enjoying the rain and thunder...
