Nice box of assorted tobacco from Mr. Flake!! I rushed into the house and opened it. A package of Trout Stream (which i've been enjoying for the last couple of hours on the deck), some Lane IQ, Carter Hall, box of Prince Albert, box of Granger, and a package of Captain Black Gold. Johnny Flake - you are a god! Now i just have to find the time to try it all!! Luckily my wife has been in Vegas all weekend so I can partake without any hassle all day tomorrow.

Thank you again and so far I've very much enjoyed the Trout. I'll sample something different tomorrow and report back.

Now YOU need to tell me what I can send you from Canuckistan.
I am very happy to hear that the package reached you with no problem. I truly hope you enjoy those tobaccos my friend!

Smurph, thanks for the offer, but you cannot send me anything. The tobaccos I sent are a gift to a new friend. if you sent something in return, they would not be a gift. Sometime in the future we'll do a trade or something to get you even more tobaccos to try.

Let us know what you think of the various tobaccos.

Tried three different tobaccos over the weekend
Iwan Ries Three Star Non Aromatic- very nice indeed, sort of a mild English
Iwan Ries Dr. Bradley Mixture, also very good- can't determine what it is yet, but it taste nice
Harth and Home Aj VA/PA=OMG this stuff is strong, but great, puff very slowly indeed and enjoy a great smoke and kick in the head.

Re: tobacco suggestions...

I had a few bowls of PA this weekend thru the cob that Brian sent me. I am very impressed with it. I am very tempted to pick up another pipe and a new tobacco to try.

Re: tobacco suggestions...

Tried the Lane IQ last night. It was a nice change but so far I still prefer the Trout Stream. Though I really do need to get another pipe! Maybe JohnnyFlake will start selling Peterson System pipes to his brothers of the North!

Unfortunately, I do not sell pipes, nor do I have any extras to sell off. I down sized from over 40 pipes a couple of years ago to a stable of 14 pipes.

I strongly suggest that you invest in two, or three Corn Cob Pipes, especially now when your trying many new tobaccos. The best MM Corn Cobs cost between $8 & $10 each US and are great smokers, thay will last for years. Of the 14 pipes I have kept 4 of them are cobs, and to be honest, I'm thinking of adding two or three more cobs to my stable.

If you decide to do so and cannot find a vendor that will ship to you, let me know and I'll work it out with you.

Re: tobacco suggestions...

Sounds great JohnnyFlake.

I just added some ebay pipes to my collection though i'm going to order some cobs from Frenchy too. Still enjoying the samples you sent . Just trying to find some time as it's almost as if... actually it is - that I guess i'm not comfortable smoking in front of my wife. It's like I have to do it in secrecy. Probably carried over from only smoking cigars when at the lake (read: stinky). Guess i'll just have to stand my ground and light up. Currently those samples are going to last me a month or two at least. At this rate i'll never get to try some Berry Cobbler or Christmas Cookie - though they won't ship across the border anyway. Gonna have to figure something out on that one.

Take care

I can help you out with the Christmas Cookie, as I have some of that, but no Berry Cobbler. I'm leaving for Illinois tomorrow, but I'll be back around June 2nd or 3rd. Remember, if you should want to order anything from a vendor that doesn't ship to Canada, email me and we can work something out.
