Angry Some good Tobacco to store over the long-term.

I'm going to try storing some Tobacco for a few years, and I'm wondering if anyone has some suggestions. Especially if you've stored it yourself & it turned out well!

Limerick and Hal O' The Wynn age very well, especially Limerick. Limerick is an amazing blend and after a few years it becomes fantastic! Upon opening a tin with only a couple of years on it the aroma will be that of fresh Chocolate Covered Cherries!

In truth, any blend that you personally like, that contains mostly Virginia Leaf or Orientals will age very well, as will Virginia & Oriental Blends with Perique!

Yeah, what Mr Flake said!

I voted for Hal O' The Wynd because, quite frankly, it's the only one you listed that I've ever aged. But as mentioned, any straight virginia or VaPer should age beautifully. Escudo does, McClellands #24, McC's Navy Cavendish, Rattray's Marlin Flake and Old Gowrie, etc etc.

I have had less success with Balkan blends with latakia. They haven't been bad but I happen to believe that their optimum aging time is less than VA's and VaPers

I guess there's a reason Hal O' The Wynd got such high ratings!

HOTW is another of my favorites ages well as does marlin flake and old gowrie. Escudo, scottish cake and mccranies red ribbon and flake also age very well
