Help me choose a couple of aromatics

As you may know, if you read my thread at the reviews forum, despite my preferences go to non-aromatics, Iīm looking for a couple of crowd pleasers that I can still enjoy when surrounded by people.

Requirements are:
- availability in Europe (that means no US blends);
- medium or medium-light strenght, at least;
- as natural as possible tobacco taste;
- nice room note;

I'm waiting for a sample of SG Fire Dance Flake, and my next order should include SG Kendal Cream Flake.

What do you guys suggest?

Re: Help me choose a couple of aromatics

Mick McQuaid (plug, square cut or ready rubbed) has a nice room note, and has both both natural tobacco and aromatic qualities.

If you did order from USA, Hearth and Home Burley Kake fits the bill perfectly.

Hearth & Home Bulk CLASSIC BURLEY KAKE

Reserve 1928 by Tinderbox. It's their only tinned tobacco, blended by McClelland. It's semi-aro, very tasty and nice room-note. Still taste like tobacco though! Probably my favorite aromatic I've tried.

Re: Help me choose a couple of aromatics

I would prefer something from Samuel Gawith, MacB, Peterson or Rattray, as those are the brands I can find at any european site.

Mick McQuaid is a curious suggestion, although I'm a little suspicious about the room note... Also, it's probably stronger then I desire for those ocasions.

Thanks guys, keep it coming.

Thatīs exactly the challenge.
Finding a blend with a nice room note but with as much natural taste as possible... I appreciate your help, people, as I donīt really want to go into buying a dozen blends to find 1 or 2 decent ones.

MacB's Navy Flake, and Roll Cake are depicted as having a pleasant room note, at tobaccoreviews... what do you guys think about them?

I really like both. They are 2/3 of the only MaC Baren blends i will smoke with any regularity. Golden Extra being the third. I'm not sure about the room note with them though. They have so much more tobacco taste than aromatics that comes through (if that transfers to the smoke) you might lose a few bystanders.

I guess i need to take a bowl of one or the other to work sometime.

I'll second this.

Also, pick you up some BCA by Lane. I know it's US but i'm telling you, for an aromatic it's worth it

If you want a straight up natural tasting tobacco.... i would suggest Veermaster. I dunno, i've only smoked it once but when i did, whoooo boy!

*EDIT*
K, you said MacB... do Vanilla Cream (flake version).

+1. MacBaren Vanilla Cream has a nice room note while their Navy Flake is less tolerable to others... or so my wife has stated.

Yeah, Navy Flake had too much of a tangy note to me. Vanilla Cream is much smoother and rounder (creamier)... not that i mind Navy Flake, it just didn't stun me.
