Good news on the WAF front!

WAF = Wife Acceptance Factor. I'm not married but I do have 3 kids and even though I smoke in the house, I have my own "study" in which to do so.

When I began my second go-'round with the pipe post kids, I felt that a nice aromatic would be wise for their benefit. I let them smell the tobacco in the bag/tin and they loved it. However, they would hold their noses when they'd enter my study during and just after I smoked.

As an experiment, I started smoking matured virginias, vapers and non aromatic burley blends. It seems they prefer the natural aroma of those over the smell of aromatics. As my daughter summed up, the aromatics "smelled good when they weren't lit but bad when they were".

So... looks like I'll go through that arduous process of converting all but one of my aromatic pipes to non-aromatics, as my aromatic consumption will likely be reduced by 90%. This is wonderful news! And the kids are right... a good clean virginia or vaper smells way better in the room than a heavily cased aromatic.

Just joking. Seriously. Count yourself lucky that you actually have a place "indoors" to smoke. I'm regulated to my car and the local B&M and I don't even have a wife nor kids.

My dear Wife graciously "allows" me to smoke my pipes indoors, even in the same room with her ..... MOST of the time. She does have to approve of the room note however.

She actually likes the smell as her Dad was a pipe smoker (Half & Half), so that brand had to become a part of my tobacco rotation.
