I emailed Peterson the other day asking if they have bulk version of their tins or if they ever considered it. They said they don't, but they are considering it. Let's help sway their decision by emailing them. I'll even write it so all you have to do is cut and paste and and click send. Or if you don't like what I came up with write your own. Or don't....

Never tried Peterson tobacco but I sent the email anyways. I like the idea of being able to purchase a larger amount of a tobacco that you frequently enjoy. One of these days I'll pick up a tin to try.

You think maybe they'll offer you a great deal on bulk like Rattrays does?

It would still be cheaper.

You'd have to buy 9 tins at 8.49 to get 16.2 ounces. That's $76.41

On another note...
I just paid $70 for a 17.5 oz bag of red rapparee.
I could have got it for $60 somewhere else, but they were all out of everything Rattray. (Shakes Fist)

I also emailed today...just to give support. Here in Holland it is illegal to offer shortages on larger quantities. So frankly this will only really be ideal for the US. I know Peterson's respond quicker to emails these days and also now have a newsletter. I suspect this is in a large part due to the downturn. There is of course the problem that if people buy Bulk they will buy less tins, and this may actually reduce profits for Peterson's. Tobacco shops have told me that they have been getting a lot of hard sell to stock Pete blends...this suggest that the importers have a bigger profit margin on Pete's than other blends. Unfortunately importer and distributor profits drive the market and what's put on offer and where....free markets an rarely free markets. And, don't expect this to happen for at least a couple of years.
