Who has the info on Penzance?

I heard that Esoterica is changing their importer, or distributor, or whoever! Bottom line is I only have one tin left and need to buy an 8oz bag. Who knows when it will be back in stores?

Second, does penzance age well? The tin says it's an english, but it doesnt taste like one.

I've found that it loses a bit of flavor as it ages.

Smokingpipes does not have the 8oz pipesandcigars does not give you the option to buy. I just checked with 4noggins and they have some. Thanks for the help Rjpuff.

With pipesandcigars, if the buy button is not there, it's because they're out of stock. They enable the buy button when the stock gets replenished.

There have been a few times, however, when they have it in stock, but do not put the buy button back up. It may be worth it to call Debbie and ask her there.

My experience has been no it hasn't aged well. It tastes better fresh out of the Tin IMO. Aged tastes flat and less flavorful.

Penzance is an Esoterica brand which is now a Butera line. It is made by Germain for Butera. Butera is an American based company. I've seen nothing that indicates that Butera is abandoning Penzance as one of its offerings.

It does not age well? Damn...I have an 8 oz bag of it I have been aging for three years. May as well flush it down the toilet!!!

The Lil Brown Smoke Shack usually has great prices on Penzance. $21.60 at the moment. Though you may want to call them and check availability first. The prices are great, but last time I ordered from them, I waited a couple of weeks for it.

I, for one, have had a positive experience with PenZ aging. It must be repacked into jars as the original tins can be very iffy. I've had some 5 year aged that is sublime! And, have many pounds in aging at this time.

I never experienced "flat" from aged tins; if anything I would say mildly enhanced. I think the difference is modest improvement as I observe tins 1-4 years old.

Aging is a moo point for me, as I only have 10-12 tins and they will not last long enough to reach even the most modest aging deadline.

Sagging inventories are a sign of the times. I'm probly down to 15-20 myself. Don't know how we'll get through the weekend, Z'ed.... squeeking by, just squeeking by.
