What's Your Desert Island Blend?

Sorry if this has been done before!

Mine would be Escudo so far. It amazes me how much I like it! That subtle sweet Virginia, so mellown then the spice and nic of the Perique rears its head! Truly an awesome tobacco! I wish that I had a never ending supply and that my pipe bowl was bigger!!

Penzance. Failing that, Presbyterian Mixture. Failing that, IRC Gourmet English. Failing all those, I won't go to the desert island.

Re: What's Your Desert Island Blend?

I would grow my own tobacco. I would also take a lot of different blending tobaccos so I could make endless blends and find one I love. This is mostly so I wouldn't get bored... I mean, what else is there to do on a desert island???

What if they succeed banning desert island smoking? They will push legislation through claiming it's for the monkeys' children.

That would depend on which desert island you were stuck on. For example Aruba is a desert island, and hell man, I could stay there forever! I love that place!!!

Too funny, but sad as well because it's probably true.

As for me, an ocean freighter loaded with PA could shipwreck on the island and I'd be happy as a clam.

Good point... I was envisioning a deserted, desert island (but I think I'd like Aruba better!)

Re: What's Your Desert Island Blend?

After some serious thought, I would have to choose a highly underrated, complex blend, called Revelation. I do have plenty of this in my cellar, but if it were not available, as it has not been for about two years now, I'd go with another highly underrated, complex blend which is readily available, called Walnut!!!

They are two of the greatest American Made Tobaccos ever produced, at least IMHO!

Ahhhh yes! But it is not considered a desert island. That would be cheating!

Re: What's Your Desert Island Blend?

My favorite, standing favorite since I have reclaimed this hobby is a blend (I think its a blend) from pipesandcigars, in store, called rasberry delight. I smoke just about everything now and am trying new tobaccos every single week, aromatics and non aromatics and this one is still incredible. Eventually I am going to try rasberries and cream from Boswell's to see how it compares.

In quite a contrast my second favorite is a peterson tin called Old Dublin. I really, really like it even though the reviews were not so great (for peterson) online.

With 1000 pounds of C&D Mississippi Mud they can dump me on that island and forget I exist.
