Re: One last order.

Seems a decent selection. My problem is that over time I've watched my taste preferences change, then change again. Hard to hoard economically when you are unsure where taste will be in 5, 10, or 15 years.

Re: One last order.

Well, I thought about that and I did try to get some variety, but I know that solid englishes I just can't stand too much. I have always had a sweet tooth... with some savory. At the worst.. I will have a selection to trade with..

At the least you should do well fighting inflation, likely higher taxes and having some extraordinarly aged tobacco when you're in your dotage!

There you go. I think this is going to be my long term stock. My B&M onesie / twosies bulks or tins will be my current smokes.

You should take a pic when they come in. I love seeing pics of massive amounts of tins.

Ain't that the truth. A year ago if somebody gave me a tin of 1792, I would have smoke a pipe full and tossed the rest of it. Today I would just enjoy the smoke. My first smoke was Cherry Blend, I no longer smoke it at all. In 17 years I will have 11 ounces aging.

You can always sell the packaging value on ebay. The key is to keep them sealed until you want it then if your taste changes dump it on ebay. Problem is that sooner or later Obama will get to ebay too. Too much tax revenue potential being lost there.

Re: One last order.

If find my self doing the same thing with baccy that I do with food. I eat a meal of, say, Ethiopian food, and then won't go back for a couple weeks. In between I will have Italian, Mexican, Viet, Sushi, so my tastes are very ecelctic and I don't get too much in a rut. That is why I am only getting singles. If I really find one that catches my fancy, I may get more. ETA: If new tobacco is even legal by that time.

Since gold is just to damn expensive I have decided to hoarde pipe tobacco tins for trade when the economy collapses under Obama's crushing deficit

OR

As long as I can find water I suppose I'll be able to survive
