Taking the plunge!

Hello all! So, being a cigar smoker for about 3 years ago, I really took an interest in pipes. Started doing some research and all. Then I finally decided to take the plunge. (Fiance was not upset since its a little cheaper than cigar smoking. Even though the cigar smoking is not stopping anytime soon.)

So through a couple of very giving members and a few acquisitions on my own I will start taking the plunge towards pipe smoking.

I am really excited! It is a whole new world a whole new set of things to do that differ than cigar smoking, but I love it. To have to different kinds of pleasure in smoking is very cool.

Anyway just wanted to introduce myself over on these forums. So like I said being a cigar smoker for three years, 29 years old from San Antonio, TX.

Welcome to pipe slope. Alot of great guys and information on this side of things. I am a pipe smoker who smokes some cigars and like you love having the "different kinds of pleasure in smoking." Some of my favorites that I suggest to cigar smokers are Squadron Leader (A medium english by Samuel Gawith), Stonehaven (a super burley by Esoterica), and Full Virginia Flake (My favorite virginia flake by Samuel Gawith). All of those have lots of flavor. Good luck and glad to have you in our little corner of the site.
