I just smoked a bowl of Balkan Sobranie!

...and it's all thanks to our very own Brian (Sounds7). I feel like a real pipe smoker now.

I won't really review the tobacco because there's just enough for a couple bowls and I don't know if I can be objective enough. But it is really a fine tobacco, right up there with the best Balkan blends being produced today (which it is safe to say are mostly inspired by the original sobranie).

Brian also gifted me a couple samples of his homemade balkan blend. I haven't gotten a chance to dip in but in appearance and aroma he has definitely hit the balkan sobranie spot on.

Ahh, life is good.

Glad you liked it Claude and please let me know what you think of homemade #1 and #2 and which you thinks comes closer to B.S.

Hint #2 has only Yenidje as the oriental component where as #1 has other orientals and Deer Tongue. The Virginias are the same for both but i put a tad bit more in #2.

Any suggestions would be most welcomed.

By the way Claude has a very good Cigar blend that I would put up there with G.L. Pease's offerings. Tasty.
