Let's keep politics out of the pipe threads.

I don't care where any of us fall in the political spectrum, but I tire of political gripes and paranoia being injected into too many pipe threads. This hijacks the original purpose and enjoyment.

When people want to discuss the politics of tobacco, they're obviously free to create a new thread where that's the main topic. That way both a free discussion and debate could take for those that want that, and it would prevent hijacking an otherwise enjoyable threads.

My word ain't law, but I think this is both sensible and agreeable.

We all know alot has been going on with tobacco legislation lately and people are obviously upset but I do agree that a thread shouldn't be hijacked with "gripes and paranoia".

Tobacco is a big-time topic in the World these days. The politicians are politicizing it, and have before. Perhaps a gentle reminder to one who wanders into such a digression; as our dearly loved tobacco, if not life itself, are so totally enmeshed with politics these days. It would seem a shame to punish one for a tow or two that might slip across the fuzzy line.

What the problem is, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that several threads have gotten "politically heated" whereas it was not the appropriate place to discuss the displeased feelings we have over the current tobacco law adaptations and changes.
