How do you store your pipes?

I only have about 12 rght now. I have six of them in a pipe rack my father passed on to me and a couple sitting on individual stands on a shelf. A couple stay ready for travel in my pouches. Otherwise the few less smoked ones are in a box with my growing baccy cellar.

I have been looking at some of the nice wall display racks (24 count) with room for growth if I can talk the Mrs. into letting me hang one somewhere other than the garage or basement.

What is everyone else do?

I've got four wood pipe racks that each hold 6 pipes. I rotate through my pipes this way and that gives them a nice long rest, keeping them fresh and dry.

I built a rack to hold 6 pipes and took over a shelf on one of our book cases for all my pipe stuff. It works for now....



The cob has since been kicked off the rack. A nice Bjarne sitter has taken its place.

Couple of pipe racks, they optimistically have 6 slots but if a large pipe is placed thereupon, only 5 can fit. Rest go on folding herf stands as needed (of which I have dozens), or within a pouch/pipe-purse if I'm mobile-ly inclined.

"folding herf stands" are these those plasitic single pipe stands?

Forgive me for asking, but what does herf actually mean? I have never found it.

Yup them thar are the plasticy foldums. Great little things to have around the place!

A herf is when one smokes pipes or cigars with others of the same inclination, devoid of screaming spouses and nagging nicotine-nazis. In this day and age, it is as rare as
