Bulk 1792

Currently my favorite tobacco is 1792. I have only been purchasing the 1792 in the 50g tins. My question is; if I buy the 1792 in bulk, will the tobacco be the same quality as in the 50g tins? If there is a difference between the two, I believe I would rather continue to purchase just the tins.

My concern would be in the preservation of the quality. I hear 1792 goes down hill pretty fast after opening so unless you prefer it in its muted form, I would stick to tins or small quantities of bulk.

Re: Bulk 1792

I actually like the way it tastes in bulk better. It isn't quite as harsh as it can be straight out of the tin, but it still tastes great. It's almost like it's been aged for a while, kinda takes the edge off it. The stuff's so cheap it's worth a try almost no matter what, just throw a couple ounces of bulk on your next order & let me know what you think.

Re: Bulk 1792

I agree, it seems the more I smoke 1792 the more I enjoy it. I just glad that I was able to find a pipe tobacco that I really enjoy, top quality, not too expensive, and easily available. Do you have another tobacco that you would recommend to me.........

Well if you're looking for stuff similar to 1792 (nothing is quite the same), definately give SG Black XX a try as well as FVF.

Haven't tried Bracken Flake yet but I've heard it's quite good.

Re: Bulk 1792

Actually those are my other two favorites. I have the tins layed out in to smoke after I finish this bowl of 1792.

Stock up boys.
Tonquin is surely an additive that the FDA will ban.

Agreed, it's only a matter of time.
