Purchased 3 pounds of tobacco today

Just finished purchasing 3 pounds of pipe tobacco. I purchased 1 pound of 1792, 1 pound of Bracken Flake, and 1 pound of Full Virginia Flake. I should receive my goods Wednesday. The owner told me that I bought his last pound of 1792, and he only had 1 pound of FVF left. He also told me that it would probable be a month or longer before he received another shipment, because Samuel Gawith is behind on their shipment to the distributor.

Nice purchase! I've been smoking FVF a lot lately really trying to get into it. It's good stuff for sure.

From the looks of your tobacco choices you really got the most bang for your buck.

Actually, I think he told me that he had one more pound of FVF left. Is the tobacco really becoming that short supply?

Re: Purchased 3 pounds of tobacco today

I also ordered a pound of 1792 and Bracken Flake from Pipes and Cigars. From what they told me (phone call) they only had 3/4 pound of Bracken Flake, so they shipped that and the pound of 1792. It seems to taste (in my opinion) better in bulk. Here is a picture of what was shipped on the Hardcastel thread.

I was at cup o joes this past friday and was told they are getting their Samuel Gawith blends in within 2 weeks. The only thing they had in poundage was best brown (my favorite) and full virginia flake...and with the fvf 1 pound left.
