My First Meer
I've been wanting a Meerschaum pipe for a while but couldn't find anything that was to my liking. I prefer things a bit more conservative than most Meer's come. I found one today that although it has character, it also leans toward the conservative side.

The staining on the lower portion must be aesthetic as the bowl shows no signs of use. I hope to have it in hand this week.

Nice looking Meer Kev! I've never had one yet myself even after 28 yrs of pipe smoking. I would like to have one but always seem to add a cob or another briar when i'm on E-Bay. I like that straight shape too.

Let us know how she smokes and your impressions on the meer.

Looks great! I don't smoke pipes but was looking at Meers not to long ago anyway LOL. If I'm not mistaken after searching them a while "The staining on the lower portion" is done with Bee's Wax.

Nice pipe. Looks like good block Meerschaum that has be treated (Partly) with beeswax. Bet its a good smoker and should color nicely for you.
