New Pipe - Comoy 1996 Christmas Pipe

I really am lacking impulse control right now when it comes to pipes. So here is my latest acquisition.



It is a 1996 Christmas Special Edition and it is never smoked. Does anybody know anything about Comoy's?

I have a Comoy Silver Shadow, but I don't know anything about the company. The pipe is nice, a couple fills, but not bad overall. It smokes a bit wet, but I'm hoping that will be tamed as it breaks in. I smoke it once a week or so.

I would think that being a Christmas pipe, yours will be of higher quality than the one I have. Nice looking pipe.

Comoys always seem to go well on Ebay for decent prices, "decent" meaning from the seller's point of view. I haven't managed to find one for a bargain price yet.

I have had a couple over the years and were good smokers not as nice as your. Very nice enjoy.

I have a Guildhall with really nice straight grain and I've owned Blue Ribands in the past as well as a London Pride. All nice pipes but a little small for me. When I worked at a pipe shop in the '90's, I sold a complete (at the time) set of 12 Comoy Christmas pipes for $600. Came in a nice presentation box. All of the pipes were very nice indeed. Comoy is a well respected British company but I admit I haven't seen or smoked any of their recent vintage. I would think your pipe is quite a nice one.
