Fillmore: Latakia?

I know its a Vaper and there is no listing of it on the label, but I sure sense Latakia.

Anyone?

I didn't taste or smell latakia in Fillmore. A lot of perique and not much else.

I would have sworn it did not have any Latakia,
til I found out it actually has about 1%.
Now that I know it's there, I can smell it,
but I still don't taste it.

Well, I guess that explains it.

I think I got a batch with a little more than usual. My palette is not that sensitive but I can definitely tell.

Well, knock me down with a tobacco leaf. I never even guessed that latakia (yuck) was soiling my favorite GLP blend! I may have to sell off my numerous pounds of aged Fillmore now

Like Pease stated, you might miss it if it weren't there. But maybe you should keep your stash and smoke a bowl a week to make sure you still hate it.

I second the bump for the Crankster. Tasting 1% latakia in a blend that tastes to me like it's 80% perique is impressive indeed! That's some set of taste buds he has. Way more sensitive than mine.

Wow! And I have tongue bite right now! Maybe I can parlay this into some sort of tobacco smoking gig with free samples, deluxe pipes and all (I generally prefer Vapers and standard English shapes FYI).

Truthfully, I think I got a wacky batch. There's little doubt when you stick your nose in the tin. It smells like Abingdon. LOL

I got a wacky batch of Westminster last year, I think. Whatever they did to it, it was unsmokable. Some quality control problems at C&D, perhaps, particularly if your Fillmore smells like Abingdon. What's next - your Embarcadero smelling like Raspberry Cordial???

I'm all for you becoming a professional taster. You get my vote! I have some nasty nougat-flavored junk I'll send to you for your first installment. If you find latakia in it, I'll eat it! LOL!
