When we go visit our kin folks I usually just take enough tobacco along for the ride part of the trip. I've been putting tobacco in film canisters that I've washed out. Anyone know if there's anything left in the plastic that might be dangerous? I can't tell any difference in taste. I've got one that I've had tobacco in for close to eight months now, (keep forgetting to grab it and make a new one up instead). The tobacco isn't dried out or anything but I've got to start wondering about any chemicals that might have leached into the plastic from the film.

If you can drink water from plastic (leechy) bottles, you can smoke baccy stored in plastic containers. Don't sweat it, worry about not being able to carry ENOUGH baccy in that tiny thing - move up to tupperware

What I use is a small canvas lunch bag that can be washed in a dishwasher. I then put several tobacco pounches into the lunch bag along with piipe cleaners and a few pipes.

Someone might think you've got some of that green tobacco in there and that's pretty small storage. I'd upgrade to something bigger.

I used to take pint jars along but from time to time I'd forget and leave them in the car. Ended up ruining some good baccy when you forget it's there for several days in the winter time. The little film canisters give me three bowls full, (ya got to pack it in like it's going in your pipe). Makes a good little sample pack when someone wants to try something I've got.

Just wondered if maybe the film left overs might be doing something to me I didn't know about.

You can buy a waterproof container at a sporting goods store thats waterproof and pretty much indestructable, ive used them for all kinds of things when I go camping.
