The making of a bulldog
In one of these threads a little while back someone said it would be cool to post photos of the process of making a pipe. This time around I remembered shortly into the process (I also managed to outwit my camera) so I have plenty of pics, minus the initial drilling and cutting process. Keep in mind this is only the 6th one I've done. So, here goes:

Thanks. I appreciate that. Its really just a matter of getting from point A to point Z and recognizing all the stops along the way, like algebra, finding the right equation to get to the next point. I probably spend as much time thinking about how to make something happen as I do trying to make it happen.

Algebra I can do. Take a block of wood and turn it into something without loseing a finger is a skill beyond me.

Did you follow instructions or just figure it out as you went?

No instructions, but I've been thinking it over for quite a while. I sure didn't think it would go so smoothly. Other things, like using the dremel to score the waste so there was less chance my rasp would slip and hit the shank I thought out as I went. The lower half of this block is hard as a rock. I spent the morning rolling over where to go from here and, after a trip to the hardware store, its time to get back to it.
