I was at goodwill yesterday with a friend. he wanted to go to look at some t.v.s. On my way out i seen a box that said pipes. I stopped over and there was 5 pipes in the box. i bought all but one. it was a huge pipe that i would have no where to really put it. it looked almost homemade. Anyways they were in good condition. I picked up a frank medico pipe. A dr.grabow freehand pipe. A pipe that said imported briar made in italy, it had no name on it and a metal pipe. They might not have been worth too much but for 12 dollars for all thats not bad. I am cleaning them up now and there is no damage to them. I polished up the stems. Only one of them had a small piece of vulcanite missing at the end of the stem. The dr grabow. Anyways. my point of this post is to say. check out some of them goodwill stores, you may be suprised what you can pick up for a cheap price. I think they probably had more because all were 3 dollars and the box said 1,2,3,4 dollars. Im pretty sure the prices are about the same all around. Maybe you could even tell your local goodwill to hold pipes that come in for you. just some advice

my girlfriend works at goodwill and she just picked me up 6 pipes they look like there in good condition i had to clean them up a bit. i dont know if there worth anything but i hope they all smoke good. This is what she picked up Albatross 121,Kaywoodie Fine line,Bellini 860,Bradberry grand prix,Coronado,Lynborc special If any of your guys know anything about these pipe please tell me lol

I love these little treasure hunts! I have never found any at Goodwill but have found many a good estate at flea markets, antique stores and estate sales.

My best pipe find was at an antique store (big one!) in a barn in Brooklyn Michigan (yes, there's a Brooklyn in Michigan too).

In an old can (may have been a tomato can, but it may have been a big PA can) were a handful of pipes, mostly Dr. Grabow and other drugstore pipes. Lurking in amid these was a small freehand pipe that turned out to be a Ben Wade "Tawny" with the original bit (BW/crown logo intact)! Asking price? $5.00! I said nothing, asked no questions and after the purchase ran like hell before they realized what they'd done!
