Aromatics tend to be wet and generally need to air a bit 10, 20, 30, min before the fill. Also, the type of fluid you use makes a difference in taste.

I did a second bowl of the second blend I got, after I let the tobacco dry a little bit on a paper towel. It smoked pretty well.

I'm looking forward to trying some different blends. The second one I got is a black cherry blend, and it was better than the first. A buddy of mine that got into cigars earlier this year says you'll try a few and then get one that is just BAM!! Delicious!

The trouble is, you won't stop there; you'll keep trying new stuff just in case there's something better out there...

True, but you also look for things that are different if not necessarily better. I know few pipers that have a tobacco rotation of one or two. Mine is currently in the 20's.

Once we can no longer sample different women, we move on to pipe tobacco.

Excellent observation. I'll make sure my wife knows this. Let's face it, even if I develop a well stocked cellar it's a lot cheaper than a mistress (or two).
