Tobacco in London

Now this may not quite be the place for it but I really am struggling. I have searched and searched around where I am (SE London) to find a decent tobacconist but to no avail. Seems that people just don't buy and sell pipe tobacco anymore, what a shame. The only two I could find that were closeish where JJ Fox of St James St and Jayems of Victoria St two well known and respected but I fear too pricey (for this poor student) tobacconists.

So I am looking for anyone who can help me as I dowant some face to face help with buying and selecting pipe tobaccos as I am but a newbie at pipe smoking so using websites to buy isn't ideal for me. Although if it can't be helped I will.

So thanks in advance, even for looking at this, for any help, shops or advice.

Thanks for looking for me, its that friendly, helpful attitude that has made this site rapidly one of my faves. Had a look at both addresses on google maps and street view and the top one appears to be a grand house of some description and the other is in Barnet (a way away) and is a Post Office.

Thank you for Looking but as I rapidly found out its hard to find places in and around London. May have to bite the bullet and go to JJ Fox, fork over some cash and get what I wan't.

Also on that note I always wondered if there was a way or site that would let pipe smokers give away the tobacco that they won't use because they don't like it to others and the recipient only pays for the postage. Save wasting money on buying a packet of tobacco someone, somewhere else is about to throw away and save wasting perfectly good tobacco.

Just a thought.

As for giving away tobacco Many people on this site do just that, or even give samples of tobacco they like. Once you reach 5 days and a certain number of posts here on puff you can view and use the Sell,Trade,Buy section of the Pipe smokers forum. Also, what kinds of tobacco are you into? Aromatics or English etc.

Anyway sorry I can't help with finding shops in London since I have no personal experience of ever traveling to the UK. I know tis unfortunate I must put it on my 'to do' list.

Great I thought the idea was too obvious for you guys to have not come up with it before me. Can't wait. Also atm I'm more into aromatics but I'm not against broadening my horizons.

It's all good in my books.
